Last night senior management had the pleasure of attending the 2026 TradeQual Awards at the Ascot Park Hotel. These awards celebrate newly qualified tradespeople and recognize those that have achieved NZQA Level 4 qualifications and above. Part of the criteria is that the new tradespeople are working for a Southland employer. Congratulations again to Josh Chirnside, Daniel Wilson, Brad Evans and Lily Hayward who were presented a certificate acknowledging their success on behalf of the business community by the Mayors of Southland and the Southland Business Chamber. Well done team! We are proud of your success and happy to have you as part of the TEAM!! ... See MoreSee Less
At TES we pride ourselves on our staff and our team! 2025 saw four of our staff complete their apprenticeships and they now work with us as fully qualified tradesmen and woman.
We believe in bringing people up through the ranks and this starts often at the beginning. As such we are seeking expressions of interest from those that think engineering or an auto electrical role might be their future, with the potential to later move into an apprenticeship.
If you or someone you know is interested and wants to discuss opportunities further email wendy@tes.co.nz ... See MoreSee Less

Yet another day to celebrate the success of our staff. Today Josh Chirnside was presented his New Zealand Certificate in Engineering (Trade), Heavy Fabrication Level 4. A huge achievement and accomplishment. Full staff morning tea to acknowledge both him and Brad Evans (who received his certificate a couple of months ago)
Alot of time, effort and commitment goes into completing an apprenticeship, and TES is proud to help support and grow the tradesmen and women of the future.
Full staff turnout today to support and watch the Bill Richardson truck rally roll through the streets of Invercargill. Some very impressive trucks showcasing and remembering a remarkable man. ... See MoreSee Less
